XC Ski or Snowshoe -- It's the Early Snow Moon at Pigeon Creek

 The Snow Moon is officially Sunday night, but some skiers need to work Monday so we hope it will be a clear night to enjoy almost a full moon on Saturday night. If cloudy, no worries, as there are lit groomed cross country trails. If clear and bright from the moon we instead may cross over the road where there are no lights and ski groomed trails by the moonlight. You may want to bring a headlamp if concerned. Plan to meet at the lodge where rentals are available.  There are also chances to snowshoe on this event too -- fun in the moonlight !  There are separate trails for this too.

Feb. 01 - Sunday - Muskegon State Park

We will meet at the trail sign at 1:00 pm and ski for as long as you wish. The address is 462 Scenic Drive, North Muskegon. There are trails for all levels and rentals are available in the lodge. Those interested should also bring ice skates. If interested in doing the luge you must call 877-TRY-LUGE and reserve a time in advance. Depending on when you finish, we will try to meet at the Bear Lake Tavern afterwards.

If interested in car pooling meet at the Park & Ride Lot at West River Dr. by the 131 expressway at 11:55 am.

Trip Itinerary:

1. Meet at the designated carpool lot and arrange rides. Check flyer for location and time!  -- Post Road Carpool lot at 8:00 AM. Skiing is from 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM
2. Ski with friends (ticket on your own). We will try to offer discounts if possible. 
3. Meet for lunch at 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM  at Cedar River Lodge -- River Bistro upstairs
4. More skiing fun in the afternoon. Ski with old and new friends.
5. Après’ skiing at 4:00  - 5:00 PM n the Ski Area Lounge or Bar.  The  Cedar River Bistro up by Purple Lift.
6. Possible stop for dinner on the way home for those who don’t have to get right home. I am not sure what might be open however.
7. Drive home and share gas prices with your carpool friends.

Join the West Michigan Catholic Singles and the West Michigan Ski Club for a weekend of fun at the Barothy Lodges in the Manistee National Forest along the Pere Marquette River. The beautiful lodges are located just south of M-10, north of Baldwin in Walhalla, MI. The Chinook cabin has already been reserved for a group from WMCS. Additional cabins with a full kitchen are available at approximately $94/night/person, but need to be booked soon before they are all gone. Accommodates 5+ people, but need to have at least 5 people to book unless everyone wants to pay more. Coordinate food/drink with your roommates. We will cross country ski and snowshoe during the day and play games at night.

Skiing has started early this year at Searchmont and looking forward to a great season. Join us for a long weekend at this club favorite resort!  3 nights lodging at the Quattro hotel & Conference center including free breakfast buffet each morning and a "Welcome" pizza party on March 12th.

Downhill skiing at Searchmont resort for skiers of all abilities. Plus premium cross country and Snowshoe trails at Stokely Creek & Hiawatha Highlands. Drivers will be needed so be sure to indicate whether you are willing to drive on your registration.

This year there is an opportunity to combine the Searchmont Weekend trip and the Marqette trip since they are "back-to-back" on the calendar. You can choose to drive from Searchmont on Sunday the 15th to Marquette Mi for 2 more days of skiing on March 16 - 17 or return home on Sunday the 15th.
