We need Trip Leaders!  Please consider leading one of your favorite trips.  The club provides assistance and training along the way as well as compensation.  Read the flyer for additional information.

    This will be a linear 5.85 mile hike through woods, mostly on a dirt pathway, but some on a dirt road, with rolling hills and two views of the Flat River (one low, one high). We will begin hiking at the parking lot in Fallasburg Park off of McPherson St. by the Frisbee golf course at noon so meet at the Boy Scout Cabin where we will spot our cars earlier at 11:45 PM and shuttle to the Frisbee Golf Course parking area. If you cannot meet us at the Boy Scout Cabin in time, then come directly to the McPherson St. parking lot as we will not wait to begin.

    Join me at Horrock's Market for dancing to the music of  "The Sunchaser".  The music starts at 6pm.  Baby Boomers Rejoice!!! an early start for dancing on a Thursday night.

    Please join West Michigan Ski Club members for beverages, food, and socializing at our June TG.

    We will be going to the Wild Wood Family Farms, 7970 Snow Ave, Alto 49302. The Soul Syndicate band will be playing. There is a $10.00 cover to get into the venue. Please bring your lawn chair.  Food trucks and a cash bar will be available at Wild Wood Family Farms.

    Laurie Pettengill will be hosting this TG. To find Laurie, she will have a balloon attached to her chair so that we may all sit together. 

    Bring your friends that may like to join the ski club.  Here is a great opportunity to meet new friends and just plain enjoy the early evening to start the weekend.

    Gates open Friday, June 6 at 5pm.  Music will be from 7p to 9p.

    Join us for a few days of fun camping and paddling July 17-19, 2025. Just 45 minutes north of Grand Rapids!  DETAILS ON FLYER BELOW

    Camp reservations:  Reserve online through Sandy Beach newaygocountymi.gov (pick Sandy Beach option) or call 231-689-7340 off season or 231-689-1229 starting May 1.  The Oakes Cabin is where coffee/bonfires and Friday night potluck will be.

    Please register here for food, equipment rental (if needed) and group campsite (if preferred).  This also gives me a head count.  

    If you want to just go canoeing/kayaking on Friday, that is fine also. Optional dinner out Thursday night 7:00 pm place TBD.

    Registration $5/members or $7/non-members covers paper products, meat for Friday night potluck, and morning coffee (breakfast food on your own).  Kayaks are $30 and canoes $50.  If canoeing with two people, one will register for food and canoe and the second person for food only.  Ditto if two people sharing the Group campsite.

    Oktoberfest Festival Trip

    Don’t miss this first ever festival trip to German cultural City of Fredricksburg with your friends in the ski club.  Tickets to 3-day annual festival Oct. 3-5 included.  Members will enjoy 5 nights lodging in Fredricksburg with easy access to the festival.  Hotel features daily complimentary breakfast, outdoor pool & more.  Also includes a home cooked Texas BBQ dinner!  Lots of options for things to do in Fredricksburg including horseback riding, local wineries, golf courses, hiking, bicycle/motorcycle rentals & more.  Also spend a day and overnight in San Antonio & explore The Alamo, The River Walk & other local attractions. Share car rentals costs for rental, gas and parking if desired.
