    Lakeside Charlies is reserving the lakeview section of their Hawthorne Room for our TG. 

    Lakeside Charlies is located near the northwest corner of the intersection of M115 and M55, tucked in behind the strip mall for a Lake Mitchell view.

    Warm up for outdoor golf with the West Michigan Ski Club by playing 18 holes of indoor golf at The Leaderboard. Just show up at 9:45am with your clubs, and enter once they open. Pay John Carlson $20 CASH ONLY and sign your name/email on the pad ($15 goes to The Leaderboard and $5 goes to the winning team, however, if only a couple of people show up the entire $20 goes to The Leaderboard, there is no winning pot or scramble, and we just play in teams). Teams are selected by drawing a playing card. Each Monday we will play a different golf course. The Leaderboard provides the balls and tees, you the clubs. Regular and alcoholic drinks may be purchased to enjoy while golfing. Afterwards, those who chose may meet up at a nearby restaurant for lunch.

    This will be ongoing every Monday playing a different course each week until the weather allows us to begin playing at courses outdoors. We will also use this facility in case of rain outs during the seasonal weather.

    Agenda will begin with brief annual reports by Board Members, followed by open input from the general membership including any nominations for the ballot to elect Board Members for 2025-26, which then will follow with a normal Board Meeting where general membership is welcome to stay or leave.

    Calling all fun singles and couples!!!! 

    Let's get together on a Sunday evening for a fun dance class followed by dancing with friends.  Members, former members, and  friends are welcome and encouraged to attend.

    The Social Dance Studio will be offering a special dance class for members and friends of the West Michigan Ski Club. We will be learning the Bachata, an easy Latin dance ideal for beginners.

    This is guaranteed to be a fun evening where you will have an opportunity to meet, mingle and dance with ski club members and friends.

    The cost is just $15.00 per person. We need a minimum of 15 people to sign up and pay to make this fun event happen. 

    Our host for the evening is our own member,  Paul Hagan.

    Join us for a few days of fun camping and paddling July 17-19, 2025. Just 45 minutes north of Grand Rapids!  DETAILS ON FLYER BELOW

    Camp reservations:  Reserve online through Sandy Beach newaygocountymi.gov (pick Sandy Beach option) or call 231-689-7340 off season or 231-689-1229 starting May 1.  The Oakes Cabin is where coffee/bonfires and Friday night potluck will be.

    Please register here for food, equipment rental (if needed) and group campsite (if preferred).  This also gives me a head count.  

    If you want to just go canoeing/kayaking on Friday, that is fine also. Optional dinner out Thursday night 7:00 pm place TBD.

    Registration $5/members or $7/non-members covers paper products, meat for Friday night potluck, and morning coffee (breakfast food on your own).  Kayaks are $30 and canoes $50.  If canoeing with two people, one will register for food and canoe and the second person for food only.  Ditto if two people sharing the Group campsite.

    Oktoberfest Festival Trip

    Don’t miss this first ever festival trip to German cultural City of Fredricksburg with your friends in the ski club.  Tickets to 3-day annual festival Oct. 3-5 included.  Members will enjoy 5 nights lodging in Fredricksburg with easy access to the festival.  Hotel features daily complimentary breakfast, outdoor pool & more.  Also includes a home cooked Texas BBQ dinner!  Lots of options for things to do in Fredricksburg including horseback riding, local wineries, golf courses, hiking, bicycle/motorcycle rentals & more.  Also spend a day and overnight in San Antonio & explore The Alamo, The River Walk & other local attractions. Share car rentals costs for rental, gas and parking if desired.
