    CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN SKIING INFORMATION — Friday  January  3, 2025

To WMSC members and friends: Join the ski club for a day of skiing at Crystal Mountain on Friday January 3 , 2025.  Members and guests are welcome. This trip is for both downhill and XC skiers and boarders.

We are meeting at Post Road ( Drive) NE Carpool lot and 131 expressway at 8:00 AM for our journey north. Your other option is to just meet the group at the ski resort instead of carpooling.  When you register please indicate this on your reservation.  See question on the bottom of the registration form.

Crystal Change Policy

Lift tickets purchased online are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if your plans change please visit our Change Form and we will provide you with a voucher, of equal or lesser value, to be used by the end of this season. To request the change, fill out the Change Form no later than 4pm the day before your original lift ticket was set to begin.

3. Shirley has some 2 for 1 passes available from the Warren Miller Movie.  See Shirley if you do not have one.  She has more than enough for us.  This is actually the best deal — you just need to have a partner to share with.

Registered WMSKICLUB members and friends:  That means you have signed up on our website www.wmskiclub.org  Just showing up does not get you the discount.  It is easy to do — call Shirley if you need help registering. This is an awesome deal for our club members and friends.

Please join West Michigan Ski Club members for beverages, food and  socializing. Bring your friends that may like to join the ski club. Here is a great opportunity to meet new friends, and just plain enjoy the early evening to start the weekend.                                                                     

Come enjoy a couple of hours of snowshoeing the south area of Saugatuck Dunes State park. If not enough snow then this will be a hike (use crampons or ice cleats). Afterwards we will select a place to eat/drink/socialize.

Meet in the township parking area by the mansion, not in the state park parking lot. It is a left turn just prior to reaching the state park parking area.

Bill & Paul’s is offering free special activities the fun on this park-n-ride event! Pre-registered members will be provided breakfast, an exclusive Elan ski demo, and an après party/raffle. Space is limited to 30 people so sign up today.

This part of the event will be an event for ski club members with a paid membership for 2024.

Meet up at the Post Road Carpool Lot at 7:00 AM.  Or you can just meet us up at Caberfae Peaks.

This event will be based out of Beatie’s Bar & Grill located off the lobby of the Mackenzie Lodge. 

You will be able to bring your gear bag in and leave it here for the day.

Crooked River Weekend

January 24th through 26th

This a long-time favorite!  Friday and Saturday night lodging includes 2 breakfast buffets, Friday night welcome party and dinner.  

Ski Nubs Nub and après ski at Nubs Pub on Saturday. Lots of cross country and Snowshoe trails at Nubs Nob and Highlands. 

Lodging Package Prices: 2 nights

Single:  $ 450.00 per person               

Double: $ 242.00 per person

Triple:   $ 190.00 per person (includes rollaway)

Quad:    $ 137.00 per person

 *Rollaway available - $25 per night

New option this year is to register for ski only information with no lodging.  If you have other lodging but want to be included in the group information please register!

All members and guests are invited on Park and Ride Day Trip adventures!

WHEN:   Wednesday  Jan. 230, 2025

WHERE:  Bittersweet Ski Area    (Meet 84th St.Grill Lot / 131)

This allows Shirley to contact everyone if any changes happen.  Please include email and phone number on your registration. You will get a confirmation for your event and the trip leader will get one too with your information. Also include if you are going directly to the resort or will be meeting at 84th Street Grill Lot.

WHEN:   Times ski area is open 10:00 to 10:00.  Most of us will ski from 10:30 until the kids come around 4:00.

Lift ticket prices and possible discounts:

Normal price for 10 -10 skiing Monday - Friday is $ 54.00

1. Military Personnel & Seniors (62+)  Take $5 off the lift ticket price with a valid Military I.D. 

2. Senior Day:  Every Wednesday Open – 2:00pm seniors 65+ get $10 off a lift ticket and receive a voucher for a free coffee and donut.

3.    Meet for lunch at 12:30 in the lodge cafeteria or a designated area.

4.    More skiing fun in the afternoon. Ski with old and new friends

5.    Après’ skiing at 4:30 in the Ski Area Lounge or Bar

 6.  Possible stop for dinner on the way home for those who don’t have to get right     home or stay here for dinner.

7.Drive home and share gas prices with your carpool friends.

Feb. 01 - Saturday - Muskegon State Park

We will meet at the trail sign at 1:00 pm and ski for as long as you wish. The address is 462 Scenic Drive, North Muskegon. There are trails for all levels and rentals are available in the lodge. Those interested should also bring ice skates. If interested in doing the luge you must call 877-TRY-LUGE and reserve a time in advance. Depending on when you finish, we will try to meet at the Bear Lake Tavern afterwards.

If interested in car pooling meet at the Park & Ride Lot at West River Dr. by the 131 expressway at 11:55 am.

Highlands / Zoo Bar Weekend Itinerary (draft)

We are happy to have you join the West Michigan Ski Club for our annual Zoo Bar trip. Come for the weekend or join us just for skiing - Use "ski only"  registration option on website to join for the day.

Our theme this year for the Zoo Bar (or all day if you wish) is TBD. We look forward to seeing what festive wear you will choose.   It’s more fun when you participate (but we won’t force you)!

Friday Feb. 7^th   For those of you who are available on Friday, please join us for skiing.

Some of us will be skiing at Nub’s Nob. Purchase tickets online or at the window.

Ski at The Highlands. Purchase tickets online or at the window.

12:15ish meet for lunch in the main lodge.

4:00ish Put on your theme apparel and put your skis/gear in the car. Head inside to the Zoo Bar and enjoy live music by ___________ (Hopefully the music will be danceable, but I’m sure we can make it work.)

7:00ish or earlier/later (depending on how much you enjoy the band), go to TBD for dinner. They can seat you with the group that you arrive with, or you can join up with some other members if there’s space at their table. 

Sunday Feb 9th

Ski at The Highlands or Nubs Nob or maybe some people prefer to ski at Boyne Mtn on this day.

12:15ish Meet in the main lodge for lunch with other ski club members.

3:30? Meet up in the bar for Après Ski if you want, but others might want to get home

The Super Bowl is at 6:30 PM Eastern Time.  Find a spot to watch it up North, or drive safely home to arrive in time for your watch party.  Good luck to your team!
