To WMSC members and friends: Join the ski club for a day of skiing at Crystal Mountain on Thursday January 8 , 2026.  Members and guests are welcome. 

This trip is for both downhill and XC skiers and boarders. We will be joining  31 skiers who are on the Caberfae Combo trip. 

Hot lunch will be available at the mountain for $5.00 (CASH)

We are meeting at Post Road ( Drive) NE Carpool lot and 131 expressway at 8:00 AM for our journey north. 

Your other option is to just meet the group at the ski resort instead of carpooling.  When you register please indicate this on your reservation.

Possible Dinner in Thompsonville at Genos Bar and Restaurant/. Great way to end our ski adventures for this week.

Join the West Catholic Singles and our ski club for the annual Ludington weekend. A full weekend of activities are planned including XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, bowling, games, social eating/drinking and potluck. This can be a one day adventure or the whole weekend. Nordic skiing is nearby at Ludington State Park and Pentwater Pathways, both with groomed trails.

 There is a reserved a block of rooms this year for a discount rate of approx. $112/night plus tax under West Michigan Catholic Singles, at the Comfort Inn, 5323 US-10. Call 231-480-6898 to book your room. If a roommate is needed contact JoAnn. Reservations at Comfort Inn needed by Dec. 09 to get this discount. Otherwise, you pay normal rates.

The Friday night potluck and games begin at 6:30pm at the next-door Party Hall of Comfort Inn. Set up is 5:00-5:30 PM. Paperware and utensils provided. Bring your favorite games for after dinner. Final planning will be done together Friday night.

Saturday: Hike/ XC Ski/Snowshoe followed by afternoon bowling and group evening dinner out.

Join club members for a day at Caberfae, hosted by Bill & Paul’s Sporthaus. The day begins with a free breakfast starting at 8 am. From 9 am to 10 am, representatives from Bill & Paul’s, Caberfae, and Elan skis will talk about what’s new and cool in gear and around the Peaks. When the lifts start turning at 10 am, you’ll be able to demo Elan’s awesome line-up of skis throughout the day. 2026 Steamboat Flyer

The Snow Moon is officially Sunday night, but some skiers need to work Monday so we hope it will be a clear night to enjoy almost a full moon on Saturday night. If cloudy, no worries, as there are lit groomed cross country trails. If clear and bright from the moon we instead may cross over the road where there are no lights and ski groomed trails by the moonlight. You may want to bring a headlamp if concerned. Plan to meet at the lodge where rentals are available.

Feb. 01 - Sunday - Muskegon State Park

We will meet at the trail sign at 1:00 pm and ski for as long as you wish. The address is 462 Scenic Drive, North Muskegon. There are trails for all levels and rentals are available in the lodge. Those interested should also bring ice skates. If interested in doing the luge you must call 877-TRY-LUGE and reserve a time in advance. Depending on when you finish, we will try to meet at the Bear Lake Tavern afterwards.

If interested in car pooling meet at the Park & Ride Lot at West River Dr. by the 131 expressway at 11:55 am.

Join the West Michigan Catholic Singles and the West Michigan Ski Club for a weekend of fun at the Barothy Lodges in the Manistee National Forest along the Pere Marquette River. The beautiful lodges are located just south of M-10, north of Baldwin in Walhalla, MI. The Chinook cabin has already been reserved for a group from WMCS. Additional cabins with a full kitchen are available at approximately $94/night/person, but need to be booked soon before they are all gone. Accommodates 5+ people, but need to have at least 5 people to book unless everyone wants to pay more. Coordinate food/drink with your roommates. Go to West Michigan Ski Club Website to register  www.wmskiclub.org. Try to sign up by 8:00 AM on Monday if you can so Shirley knows to look for you.

WHERE:  Timber Ridge Ski Area   (Meet 84th St. Grill Lot / 131)  10:00 PM for the carpool part or you can just meet us at Timber Ridge area too

Planned Trip Itinerary:                                                                           

 Meet at the carpool lot--10:00AM  Arrange rides.

 Carpool and Drive to the Ski Area.

 Lunch time is 12:30 in the ski club bar.

 Ski with old and new  friends ( ticket on your own).  See discount above. 

 Apres skiing 4:00 or a  determined time in the Ski Area Lounge or Bar.

 Possible stop for dinner on the way home for those who can and want to.

 Drive home and share gas prices with your carpool friends.

You have the option to either meet at the park and ride lot on Post Road or at the resort.  Join the gang for a fun Caberfae Pre - Christmas Adventure.
