Highlands / Zoo Bar Weekend Itinerary
We are happy to have you join the West Michigan Ski Club for our annual Zoo Bar trip.
Our theme this year for the Zoo Bar (or all day if you wish) is TROPICAL. We look forward to seeing what festive wear you will choose: anything tropical, Hawaiian, a Jimmy Buffet tribute, etc. It’s more fun when you participate (but we won’t force you)!
Friday Feb. 9th For those of you who are available on Friday, please join us for skiing.
Some of us will be skiing at Nub’s Nob. Purchase tickets online or at the window.
12:15 meet for lunch in the lodge/cafeteria
4:00ish Après Ski at Nub’s Pub
7:00 Dinner at Vernale’s Restaurant 3018 M-119, Harbor Springs, MI 49740 . This restaurant is halfway between Petoskey and Harbor Springs. We have a reservation booked under West Michigan Ski Club for our group. (They have casual food fare as well as some pricier/fancier dinner options on the menu.)
***PLEASE RSVP to me BEFORE Wednesday Feb. 7th to let me know if you will be joining us for dinner! *** --Bridget Healy (Trip Leader) 616-443-5255 biddithealy@sbclgobal.net
Saturday Feb 10th
Ski at The Highlands. Purchase tickets online or at the window.
12:15ish meet for lunch in the main lodge.
4:00ish Put on your tropical theme apparel and put your skis/gear in the car. Head inside to the Zoo Bar and enjoy live music by Ty Parkin and the Old Souls (Hopefully the music will be danceable, but I’m sure we can make it work.)
7:00ish or earlier/later (depending on how much you enjoy the band), go to Side Door Saloon for dinner. They can seat you with the group that you arrive with, or you can join up with some other members if there’s space at their table. We do not have reservations, but they are expecting us. Please note that it closes at 9pm.
(Side Door Saloon’s address: 1200 US-31, Petoskey, MI 49770 )

12:15ish Meet in the main lodge for lunch with other ski club members.
3:30? Meet up in the bar for Après Ski if you want, but others might want to get home
